Claridge's and The Berkeley


London swings like no other city in summer and three of the British capital's most iconic luxury hotels Claridge's, The Connaught and The Berkeley are promoting the season with a flexible menu of packages for the whole family.

With the transformation of Mayfair's Mount Street into one of the world's most avant-garde retail streets, The Connaught boasts a prime location with Lanvin's flagship store, as well as the capital's first outpost of Goyard, literally on its doorstep. The legendary hotel just completed a £70 million restoration and renovation by some of the world's finest designers and craftsmen, bringing it into the 21st Century while preserving with great care its authentic elegance, distinctive personality and intuitive style of service. The 'Bon Vivant' promotion includes a lunch or dinner at Espelette, Hélène Darroze's more relaxed dining option at The Connaught, where she presents the freshest produce from her native Landes in South West France coupled with some of the finest ingredients from the British Isles. The package starts at £305 per night. 'Suite Heaven', starting at £495, grants access to some of London's most sumptuous suites, many of which come complete with a fully stocked cocktail cabinet for the ultimate in in-room entertainment. Both The Connaught Bar and award-winning Coburg Bar have attracted the stylish set since they opened their doors. From the perfectly mixed martini to a champagne cocktail served in the most delicate crystal, this is place to see and be seen.

Mayfair's Art Deco landmark, Claridge's, welcomes guests with many elegant summer surprises this season. The hotel's head-concierge carefully compiled a list of the capital's top 10 picnic spots, ranging from 'Best for Children' and 'Best Views' to 'Most Romantic'. The suite is outfitted with luxuries aplenty including seasonal hand-cut flowers, home-made chocolates, chilled champagne upon arrival and full English breakfast as well as a specially selected Linley gift. This summer, Dior and Claridge's bring back the era of the ultimate dressing table in its signature Claridge's and Linley Suites with the unveiling of 'The Dior Dressing Table'. Complete with chic treats such as an elegant cream silk Claridge's dressing gown, Les Classiques perfumes from Dior, a Dior beauty kit and cocktails from The Fumoir, this is the ultimate way to get ready for a glamorous night out. There is a £300 for this service.

In the heart of fashionable Knightsbridge, The Barkaley celebrates the arrival of summer as the hotel retracts the roof of its iconic pool and invites guests to soak up the sun. Relax on one of the sun loungers on the court-yard terrace, enjoy carefully selected organic spa treatments or take a dip in the pool while taking in panoramic views of London’s Hyde Park. 'Primed for Summer', available at £165 per person, is a day-spa package which includes all the necessary elements to get ready for summer such as a VOYA seaweed body wrap to energize and detox the skin, a light lunch pool-side, and a manicure and pedicure. Perfectly complementing an indulgent spa-day at The Berkeley's roof-top retreat, 'Suite Heaven' starts at £395 per night for a superior junior suite and includes breakfast. Guests staying at The Berkeley on the 'Weekend Chic' package, which starts at £289 per night including a chilled bottle of Laurent Perrier upon arrival, combining the pleasure of a five-star home in residential Knightsbridge with iconic London shops such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols just a stones-throw away. The hotel's award-winning Prêt-à-Portea, The Berkeley's fashionable interpretation of traditional British afternoon tea, is the perfect conclusion to a day on the London style scene.
